Hey,

I don’t think it’s better or worse than display ads, they’re very different formats. As long as the native ads or content is clearly labeled as “sponsored” or something along those lines, I wouldn’t consider myself cheated or betrayed. Also, going by spending trends, native advertising doesn’t look like something that’s going away anytime soon and is definitely not a short-term solution to the inefficiencies of display ads – it’s a different beast altogether.

In fact, I think native advertising is even worse than regular IAB sizes, because when you click on an ad, you know you are clicking, but when you’re clicking on a native advertisement, you’ll feel “betrayed”. So, when native catches on, and it looks that way, I think it’s going to go down even faster than it’s upcoming.
